The Pen is Freedom
A pen may look small, but it can be more powerful than a weapon. Words can make people think, give them hope, and even change the world.
A Voice for the Voiceless:
Many people in history could not speak for themselves. Writing gave them a voice.
Example: Gandhi wrote articles to open people’s eyes. Bhagat Singh wrote letters that filled people with courage. Their words reached hearts and minds.
A Shield Against Forgetting:
Our freedom was not free—it was earned through hard work and sacrifice. Without the pen, the sacrifices of the past could fade away. Writing helps us remember that.
Old books, letters, and stories keep the past alive so we never forget the struggle for independence.
Freedom of Speech & Expression:
In India, Article 19(1)(a) protects our right to share ideas, tell stories, and question without fear This freedom keeps our society strong and growing.
For a writer, speaking without fear is freedom.
The pen becomes your voice, and
your voice becomes your freedom.
When Words Create Change:
Words can open eyes.
They can heal hearts.
They can spark courage.
And they can change the world.
Conclusion:
If freedom is the body, then the pen is its soul. It sustains freedom in words, thoughts, and imagination. On this Independence Day, let us not forget that while soldiers patrol our borders, writers patrol our truths.
